Princess and the Pea B&B
21628 48 Ave Langley BC
On May 26 2008 we installed a photovoltaic system (solar panels that make electricity) at our B&B in Langley BC The B&B is a historic building now 121 years old. The system we installed has 10 panels and the electricity we make goes back to BC Hydro (they pay us for it). Every time I see our electric meter turning backwards I pinch myself in disbelief.
You can read more about our solar system at http://www.bchydro.com/powersmart/news/article57188.html

Feeling the Heat - Reducing Energy Consumpation in Buildings
Submitted by City Green on Tue, 15/01/2008 - 13:26.Energy inefficient buildings cost businesses thousands of dollars every year. Using Langara College as a case study, course participants will explore the range of opportunities for reducing energy losses in institutional and commercial buildings. In the first part of the workshop, an engineer will explain the process in detail, from energy audit to implementation, and then workshop participants will be taken on a tour of the college to learn about the energy saving changes firsthand.
