I am looking for a regionally based forum where homeowners, contractors and architects share information on innovative sustainable products they have used...cork floors, tiling systems, postconsumer deck materials, etc. Does anyone know of such a place?

I am looking for information on whether glass, copper and zinc are LEED recognized materials.

There is no such thing as LEED endorsed or recognized material. LEED simply sets out the strategies and it is up to the designer to assemble materials and components to meet these standards. Some products do offer designers sample specifications and information as to how their products help meet certain LEED credits (eg Interface, Dinoflex, etc)

Generally this isn't a product Light House would advocate because of the energy losses involved. However, if you are set on the idea, you could consult some of the service providers in our Residential Service Provider Directory on our website.
