I’m working on a joint project between Light House and the City of Vancouver’s Sustainability Group to promote the new LiveSmart BC Energy Efficiency Incentives for homeowners.

What do you do at Light House?

I work in the Business Services department coordinating a number of green building projects. The primary role involves working with developers and contractors to help them achieve the certification level of the green building strategy they are aspiring for. I also perform some energy modelling and design work for green projects such as the CMHC Equilibrium Initiative.

About the position

Light House Sustainable Building Centre is poised for further growth and seeks a motivated and experienced professional to join us as Office Manager.

Light House will be closed Saturday, August 30 - Monday, September 1 for Labour Day weekend.

Although the dripping skies weren’t conducive to much solar power generation, the energy ran high at last Saturday’s Green Home Open House at Iris Griffith Centre.  Featured presenter, Helen Goodland of Light House Sustainable Building Centre, began by posting the question to the more than 30 participants: “What is a net zero energy healthy house?”
