Since buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of carbon dioxide
emissions each year, considerable focus has been placed on the construction of
new green buildings. Discussion about the importance of improving and re-using
our existing building stock – and especially our historic buildings – is largely absent from the conversations about climate change.

LEED Canada Workshop CI 1.0
LEED® Canada-CI for Commercial Interiors (LEEDCI) is a comprehensive, voluntary, market-driven green building rating system for commercial interiors. LEED-CI is an interior design tool used to minimize environmental impacts and maximize occupant comfort and performance of tenant spaces. This full-day training session will address the basic principles of sustainability as they relate to tenant improvement projects and present the definitive standard for what constitutes a green interior.

Vancouver.  Location TBA

Hosted by the Independent Contractors and Business Association (ICBA) and Metro Vancouver, this half-day seminar is aimed at introducing LEED® to general and trade contractors. The presenter will provide an overview of how LEED® works, the contractor’s specific roles and responsibilities when undertaking a LEED® project, documentation requirements, and the practical details of how to navigate the LEED® process to successfully deliver a LEED® project.
