There is a limited amount of time remaining to write the LEED NC 1.0 Exam. Last day to register a LEED NC 1.0 exam is October 23, 2009. Last day to write the LEED NC 1.0 exam is December 31, 2009. This seminar will help you to prepare for your upcoming scheduled LEED exam.
This seminar is for individuals who are familiar with LEED. It does not cover the same material as the CaGBC one-day LEED NC Workshop. Technical requirements of prerequisites and credits are not covered.

LEED NC recognizes buildings that incorporate design, construction and operational practices that combine healthy, high quality and high-performance systems and materials with reduced environmental impacts.

LEED for Contractors
Submitted by helenc on Wed, 06/05/2009 - 13:46.Hosted by ICBA and Metro Vancouver, this half-day seminar is aimed at introducing LEED® to general and trade contractors. This seminar provides a concise overview of the different aspects of a LEED® project that contractors are primarily involved in. LEED® points discussed include:
• sedimentation and erosion control
• materials and resources
• indoor air quality
• construction waste management
• education and program monitoring
• documentation requirements.
Tips, examples, best practices, and challenges will be highlighted throughout the presentation. At the end of this seminar, the attendee will have an understanding of:
• what a LEED® project means for contractors in terms of areas and level of involvement
• types and extent of documentation required
• challenges that could arise and methods to address them
• working with the LEED® framework while maintaining schedule and delivering results
Attendees will receive an accompanying guide, Green Construction: Introducing Green Buildings & LEED to Contractors.
