Transforming How We Think of Existing and Heritage Buildings: Green Rehabilitation and Sustainability Forum

Since buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of carbon dioxide emissions each year, considerable focus has been placed on the construction of new green buildings. Discussion about the importance of improving and re-using our existing building stock – and especially our historic buildings – is largely absent from the conversations about climate change.

This 1/2 day forum is a follow up to the successful 2007 conference in Whistler. It is presented by the newly created REIBC Climate Change Committee in conjunction with the Vancouver Chapter.
