The Energy Council of Canada is holding a series of Energy Forums, the purpose of which is to collect information on Canada’s accomplishments and future plans for presentation at the forthcoming World Energy Congress, MONTREAL 2010. Each half a day Forum will focus on a specific region of Canada and its prime emphasis will be on obtaining, from governments, industry and various stakeholders, perspectives and planned actions to address present and future energy challenges.
It is intended that participants for the respective Forums will be senior representatives from government, industry and stakeholders. This will allow dialogue to be primarily strategic and policy oriented and to be visionary, constructive and pragmatic in terms of addressing the overwhelming challenges being faced by the energy industry in global, regional and national contexts.
