Submitted by helenc on Wed, 07/05/2008 - 09:12.Alan Carpenter and Susan McFee, from the Ecohousing Association are coming to Tsawwassen to present Ecohousing on Saturday, May 17th, 2 – 4PM at the South Delta Library at 1321A – 56 Street, giving us the opportunity to hear about some of their experiences living in WindSong Cohousing in Langley, British Columbia, and presenting us with several concepts and ideas to challenge our traditional thinking with regards to how we house ourselves.

Tsawwassen Ecohousing Village Startup
There is a meeting set up for Sunday, March 30, 2:00-4:00 pm in Tsawwassen for those interested in hearing about Ecohousing or are interested in being a part of a Ecohousing project there. The location is at the Tsawwassen Wellness Centre at 5514 - 12th Avenue. There are already 5 to 10 households that are interested in attending this first meeting. A developer is interested in doing one or more Ecohousing projects on a site in Tsawwassen.

Bowen Island Ecohousing Village Startup
There is a meeting set for April 12, 2008 at 12 Noon to 2 PM. The location is 585 Berry Road, Bowen Island.
There are a number of households interested in this project and will be attending this first meeting. A owner of a site is seeking initial concept approvals for Ecohousing on the site. Alan Carpenter is checking the feasibility of assembling other sites in partnership with this site owner in order to create a small village of Ecohousing projects.
