Chickens feathers and slugs have given way to pumice and
curved walls. As May comes to a close who would have imagined that playing in
the mud, learning code and experimenting with pumice would garner so much
interest, and that so much fun and excitement could come out of a little bit of
arbutus, recycled glass blocks, a roto tiller, our first workshop of the

This tour will show the loadbearing cob wood working shop and the house that is in progress. The house is the first of its kind, engineered to be the first code approved high occupancy load bearing cob building in Canada. The tour will be hosted by Angela Evans of Saanich.
