West Vancouver Aquatic Centre
West Vancouver Aquatic Centre provides the community with a carefully design facility that speaks of wellness, accessibility and health.
The new $8m facility was designed by Hughes Condon Marler Architects and includes an ozone purification system, a series of electrically operative solar shading devices and an innovative wood structure. Along with natural lighting, the use of operable glazed overhead doors and mechanically operable vents allow fresh air to naturally ventilate through the building. This unique feature dramatically enhances the facilities’ indoor air quality, while providing users with the experience of an outdoor pool.
