Ironwork Passage
Ironwork Passage is a 30 year old 1,100sf garden condominium in Vancouver that was renovated and replanned by Brantwood Design to address the radical lifestyle change when "empty nesters" move from a house to a condominium.
The unit was reorganized to maximize natural ventilation, daylighting and occupant health. BC Douglas fir millwork was built in to save space. Light-colored finishes and compact fluorescent lighting enhance the sense of openness, giving the unit the feel of a much larger home.
Full details of the features of this project can be found on the Cascadia Green Building Council Database.
