HCMA Office Renovation
The Hughes Condon Marler Architects office is the first ever office renovation to achieve LEED CI Silver certification. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Commercial Interiors (LEED CI) is a green building rating system that addresses energy efficiency, water conservation, occupant health, materials and resources as well as site and land use issues.
The project features a high degree of natural ventilation and natural lighting strategies. Light fixtures are high efficiency fluorescent fixtures developed by a local lighting manufacturer. The millwork comprises locally produced low-urea formaldehyde MDF ll which is made from wood chips and sawdust reclaimed during the milling process.
