Sustainability Analyst
BC Housing is the provincial Crown agency that develops, manages and administers a wide range of subsidized housing options and programs for those most in need across the province. In this role, you will be responsible for analysis, auditing, research and report writing to support our work and policies related to sustainability. A key function will be to ensure we meet our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting and verification obligations as determined by the Provincial Government. Additionally, you will provide policy support and research on green initiatives.
You have a degree (Master’s level preferred) in public administration, planning, commerce, business administration, finance, economics, resource management or a related discipline. Ideally, you have education/training in sustainability and energy conservation.
You have 3 - 5 years’ experience in compiling and analyzing data, report writing and compliance with regulatory bodies. An equivalent combination education, training and experience will be considered.
You also possess knowledge of:
• GHG reporting protocols such as ISO 14064 or the Climate Registry
• full cost accounting principles and energy reduction design strategies
• information technology, systems terminology, concepts and practices, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Knowledge of JD Edwards would be considered an asset.
A proven leader, you have excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with regulatory agency staff, non profit societies, co-workers and supervisors. These are accompanied by great oral and written communication, presentation, consultation, facilitation, conflict resolution, leadership and interpersonal skills as well as an exceptional capacity for analytical, strategic and critical thinking.
