Senior Sustainability Specialist

Working to exceed client demand  our client  seeks  a qualified and committed professional to fill the role of Senior Sustainability Specialist.  Their  Sustainability practice, within their Technology Department, responds to client demands for: GHG inventory, reporting and reducing strategies; carbon credit programs; ecological and carbon footprint, energy auditing, assertions/verifications, and designing and implementing corporate sustainable and social responsibility programs

Main Accountabilities: 

Proactive business development, sales and client relations within the Sustainability practice unit; Lead teams in planning and implementing projects related to the services provided by the Sustainability Group, completion of carbon footprint studies, GHG emissions inventories and reduction strategies.

Specific Tasks:

Lead project team in utilizing  our clients  resources to meet client objectives; Investigate, Measure, and Evaluate environmental conditions; Track project progress according to project plan, monitor and report on the status of projects and make recommendations regarding project scope where required; Provide leadership and accountability for overall success of projects under your direction; Ensure company health and safety initiatives are strictly adhered to;

Provide training and professional development recommendations as required.

Qualifications / Professional Membership StatusProfessional Registration in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering, or related science; 10+ years directly related experience in energy, energy effectiveness, climate change, and other environmental sustainability disciplines;

Familiarity with BC, Alberta and Federal environmental regulatory requirements desired, as well as mandatory and voluntary GHG reporting mechanisms.
