Junior Campaigner-Wilderness Committee, Victoria Chapter

Reports to: Campaign Director and Office Manager
Full Time, 35 hrs per week, $1800/month, must be available some weekends and evenings; have a valid driver's license and own vehicle an asset.
Supports Campaign Director through campaign organizing and research, along with aspects of office administration and retail responsibilities.
Key areas of responsibility
* Support and training on Ancient Forest Campaign
* Lead campaigner (under guidance of Campaign Director) of another
campaign
* Research, writing and editing for campaigns
* Prepare briefing documents, letters and press releases
* Presenting campaign issues through public speaking and media contacts
* Assisting campaign director
* Oversee a retail store while completing other tasks
* Attending events, providing slideshow presentations to the general
public and special interest groups
* Volunteer management
* Understands and works within the WCWC values and mandate
Skills
* Organized, enthusiastic, self-initiated and team player
* Accomplished leadership skills and volunteer management
* Computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Power Point
* Excellent research, writing and communication abilities
* Capable customer service and office skills.
Qualifications
* Fundamentally rooted and passionate about wilderness and biodiversity preservation
* Post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Environmental
Studies, Biology or Geography would be ideal
* Volunteer/work experience with a non-profit organization an asset
