Biro Creative is looking to for a full-time Office Manager to help keep us in order as we grow to better meet the needs of our progressive, values-based clients.
Imagine being the hub of a young, small and super-fun good-cause design firm in a stunning studio space in Gastown, Vancouver. Our team is ultra creative, and our work helps an inspiring mix of high profile, values-based clients—Greenpeace, the United Nations Foundation, William J. (Bill) Clinton Foundation and the 100-Mile Diet to name a few—do the fabulous work they do.
Your days will be incredibly varied and your role a key piece to our success. Your head and hands will be focused on making our studio as organized, efficient and effective as humanly possible to maximize the positive impact achieved through our client work. From general administration tasks to bookkeeping and project support, you will be a flexible life-saver appreciated by everyone on the team.
A short list of what we'll look to you for:
- Management of the studio—ensuring our space remains stocked, organized, working and presentable;
- Administrative systems maintenance and development—keeping systems predictable and well-tuned;
- Bookkeeping and financial administration—assisting with AR, AP, payroll, credit cards, budgets;
- Initial point of contact—answering phones, greeting clients and studio visitors;
- General management and departmental support—research projects, travel planning, meeting scheduling;
- Project management and administration help—project schedules, budget creation and tracking, proposal writing.
Traits you take pride in:
- Intensely organized and detail oriented;
- Excellent communicator in every sense;
- Good with numbers and not afraid of a budget;
- Keen self-starter who would much rather solve a problem than let it slide;
- Thrive on making things work and figuring out the best way;
- Multi-tasking genius able to juggle priorities and work to hard deadlines;
- Skilled behind a computer (Mac or PC) with a knack for picking up new programs;
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks or similar financial software a huge asset;
- Passionate about making positive social and environmental change at home and at work.
