Door-to-Door Canvassers - Part-time and Full-time -The Wilderness Committee

The Wilderness Committee is supported by thousands of members and donors
across Canada, built-up largely through the organization's door-to-door
canvassing team.

As a canvasser you learn about the important environmental issues the
organization is working on and how to effectively communicate these issues
with the public. Help build the movement to protect BC's ancient forest
heritage and make a modest income, too.

You work with an excellent team of like-minded people, and in the evenings
you go door-to-door to help inform and sign-up citizens in neighborhoods
throughout Victoria. Ideal for students and anyone else concerned about BC's
wilderness. Learn to communicate effectively and convincingly with the
widest diversity of people - all activists should canvass door-to-door to
hone their public communication skills (and to see how most people really
think - not just other activists!).

Qualifications:

* knowledge of WCWC mandate and campaigns
* concern for wilderness and wildlife preservation
* strong work ethic
* outgoing, positive, dedicated
