Does Home Depot carry FSC certified wood?

Ans: Yes, in fact, Home Depot was one of the first large retail chains to start carrying Forest Stewarship Council (FSC) certified products. They began to give preferential treatment to certified products in 1999 and now sell more FSC certified wood and have transitioned more vendors to FSC certified wood than any other retailer in North America. Not all types of lumber are in stock, but if you can find it on their website, they can likely order it in for you. In the U.S. they offer certified-wood product listings by region and in canada they offer Eco Options. This is a tool that allows customers to choose products for their home improvement projects that are more environmentally friendly and healthier (ex. efficient appliances, healthy heating and cooling systems, air conditioner recycling etc.)
NOTE: It is rare for an employee to know that they have FSC, and many will say that they do not. Unfortunately you have to go in yourself and look.
