City of Vancouver Rain Barrel Program

The City of Vancouver has a program to subsidize rain barrels. They are available for Vancouver residents only. Below are some details of the barrels:
- Size ~107 cm high and ~54 cm wide
- Capacity for 341 litres of water
- Weights about 20.5 kg
- The color is dark green
- Made from recycled plastic
- Screen is included to remove debris
- There are two faucets on each barrel to accommodate hoses and watering cans
- Cost is $75 (half the cost) plus taxes

Vancouver South Transfer Station
377 West Kent Avenue North
Hours:
Monday-Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
*Note there is a limit of two rain barrels per household. Please bring proof of residency.
