BC Awards for Excellence in Concrete Construction - Call for Entries

(BCRMCA) is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Awards for Excellence in Concrete
Construction (the CONNIEs) Call for Entries.

"The CONNIE Awards
celebrate great partnerships, commitment and innovation in the use of
ready-mixed concrete in applications throughout the province. We invite all
members of the BC construction industry to enter and join us in honouring the
vision and creativity of Owners, Architects, Engineers and Contractors that are
designing and constructing some of the most creative concrete projects in BC,"
said Doug Blender, President of BCRMCA.

This year, the Sustainable
Construction category has been replaced with sustainable criteria in every
category. "We wanted the judging criteria to reflect the realities of the
construction business today," said Blender. "Sustainable choices consider how
materials and practices promote a healthier community and environment, and they
are part of a holistic approach to construction, along with creativity in
architecture, complexity of engineering design, functionality and
innovation."

Winners in each category, and the overall 'Grand Award'
winner, will be announced at the CONNIE Gala Evening on May 1, 2008 at the
Marriott Pinnacle Hotel in Vancouver, BC. Tickets for the Gala Evening are
