Community Energy Solutions Manager - Terasen Gas

Reporting to the Director, Customer Management and Sales, the Community Energy Solutions Manager will focus on:

·      Contributing to earnings growth by identifying, pursuing, and capturing profitable investment opportunities principally involving energy solutions in municipal, regional and First Nations communities. Growth will be achieved through collaborative selling techniques, customer relationship management, and providing effective energy solutions.

·      Positioning the company as a industry leader in energy applications and Green House Gas mitigation strategies in the target market

You will be working with politicians and senior staff at municipalities as well as senior management architects, engineers and others within the commercial and industrial market segments and is expected to maintain awareness of all activities that affect business development potential and to advise senior management on strategic issues related to municipal markets.  This position will also work closely with internal project development teams to help ensure that identified opportunities progress to profitable investments for the company.

Qualifications

·       Business development skills including a clear understanding of municipal, regional and First Nations market segments in B.C. 

·       Minimum of a bachelor degree in business or a technical degree with appropriate business experience

·       Ability to develop, document and implement strategies which prioritize activities in key areas

·       Strategic thinker regarding growth and barriers to growth

·       Knowledge of energy solutions applicable to municipal, regional and first Nations communities, including natural gas and alternative energy solutions including district energy, geothermal, solar thermal and other emerging energy systems.

·       Strong sales and customer relationship management skills

·       A team player, enthusiastic, detail oriented with a clear ability to prioritize activities associated with a number of time sensitive, diverse projects.
