Wind Energy Development in BC. Are wind energy projects viable in BC? To date no industrial- scale wind energy projects have been built in British Columbia. What does it take to establish wind energy in BC's sustainable energy future? This workshop looks at the key criteria required for large, industrial-scale wind energy development in BC. We will explore the basics of permitting and consultation. Instructor: TJ Schur, Aeolis, www.aeoliswindpower.com. TJ is the Director of External Relations for Aeolis and VP Project Development for Bear Mountain Wind LP (BMWLP). She has over 14 years experience working with policy makers, governments, and senior stakeholders and has six years in the wind energy sector in Ontario and is now a senior team member at BMWLP that has submitted Bear Mountain Wind Park near Dawson Creek BC to the BC Hydro Call for Tenders. TJ has a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies (MES) in wind energy, community development and project planning.
