Nov 6 2007 - 10:00am

How will the unified BC Green Building Code affect our industry? The BC Government is proposing new standards for energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reductions under the BC Green Building Code initiative. Trudy Rotgans and Andrew Pape-Salmon will outline some code change proposals that MIGHT take effect in the Spring of 2008.  These include water conservation standards and the adoption of the new standards for energy efficiency. This UDI event provides an opportunity for direct input to the policy staff with the Office and Housing Construction Standards and Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources. How does this affect the development community and how do we understand its application?  Listen to experiences of SFU Community Trust in its work toward the creation of the new model community, ‘Univercity’.
