Upcoming Workshop on Funding for Environmental Technologies

On March 20, 2007, Environment Canada, Pacific and Yukon Region, and the British Columbia Environment Industry Association are hosting a workshop on Funding for Environmental Technology Innovation. The purpose of this workshop is to provide organizations with financial tools and funding to help develop new technologies. Information on funding programs, tax incentives and business support services will also be offered. Presentations will include: 2010 Sustainable Business opportunities; Environment Canada’s “Show me the money” presentation; updates on the federal government’s ecoENERGY and ecoFREIGHT initiatives; Sustainable Development Technology Canada; Natural Resources Canada's Industrial Research Assistance Program; and Scientific Research & Experimental Development (Federal) Tax Credit Program. In addition, workshop participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to have one-on-one meetings with the funding agencies.
