scales. Keynote speaker: Parris Glendening, former Governor of Maryland, who was
responsible for introducing state-wide smart growth policy and the current President of
the Smart Growth Leadership Institute.

LEED Neighbourhood Development: What is it and how does it apply to Canada?
Moderator: Stephen Samis, Heart and Stroke Foundation
Speakers: Thomas Mueller, President of the Canadian Green Building Council and Scott
Demark, Halsall Associates Ltd.

Smarty Awards Ceremony

Challenges and Opportunities for Implementing Smart Growth. Panel discussion
