James Rodgers: Guest Expert
On Saturdays through the fall, the Sustainable Building Centre is hosting its "Guest Expert" Series on Granville Island, in Vancouver. Each Saturday, between 2 and 4pm, a different green building professional will be available to answer your sustainable building questions. On Saturday, December 9th, James Rodgers will speak about the greening of the real estate market.

Leading ‘Green Realtor’, James Rodgers has teamed up with Dexter Associates Realty to offer GreenerHomes.ca – a province-wide, environmentally-focused realty service and free online resource of green-related news, tips, and directories. Rodgers has a background in green business and co-op development that has focused on green building and design for the past five years. He is currently establishing the Green Realty Association of British Columbia to train and certify BC realtors as experts in the ecology of real estate.
James will be a Guest Expert at the Light House: Sustainable Building Centre on December 9th, 2 - 4. This is open and free to the public. Please join us for a fun and informative presentation that explores what a greener home is; the benefits of greener homes; and provides tips on how to green your home including leads for green-home grants and financing. Learn about how the real estate market is greening and how to get ahead of the curve. Packed with firsthand stories and website links to access more information, the presentation concludes with an inspiring slideshow of incredible ‘natural’ BC homes that have been built for less than $75,000!
