Integrating Sustainability Into Purchasing

Feb 14 2008 - 8:00am
Feb 14 2008 - 1:00pm

When your organization uses a formal process (ex.
Requests for Proposals), this workshop will help you to send clear signals to
your suppliers about your social and environmental requirements, and enable you
to assess quotes and proposals effectively. Even if your organization does not
have such formal purchasing processes, you will learn to assess the
sustainability attributes of suppliers or supplies/services that your
organization is seeking.

This workshop will help purchasers
learn:

To embed sustainability into competitive bidding processes and
evaluations

To integrate sustainability into the RFP process, using
tools like supplier questionnaires for suppliers, evaluation matrices, contract
clauses, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure impacts

How
other organizations have applied these tools by reviewing an in-depth case study

To identify and develop areas for sustainability specifications

Fees:

$245 for private/public sector

$175 for non-profit, small business and
PMAC members

$100 for students
