Empowering the Community Making neighborhood level renewable energy a reality
Local government officials and staff, provincial and federal government staff, and developers are invited to attend "Empowering the Community Making neighborhood level renewable energy a reality". This will be a one-day workshop with a select group of approximately 40 municipal, provincial, and energy-related officials. The conference keynote will be delivered by Adrian Hewitt on the 10% onsite renewable energy requirement for all new developments that the jurisdiction of Merton initiated in the UK. Empowering the Community is offered free of charge as a joint initiative of Sustainability Solutions Group and the Community Energy Association and is funded through a Vancity/Real Estate Foundation Green Building Grant.
