Bill Aniba - Guest Expert on Mechanical Systems in Stratas
"Maintenance of High-Rise Mechanical Systems: How to avoid the Big Hit"

Bill Aniba, Account Executive, Trotter & Morton
Heating and cooling systems in modern high rise strata condominium towers are critical to the comfort and safety of its residents, and are a key factor energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. They also represent a huge capital investment, and major breakdowns can lead to extended periods of discomfort for residents, as well as a substantial special assessment to pay for repairs. However, many residents take the “out of sight, out of mind” approach to these systems, sometimes with disastrous
results. Bill will present Trotter & Morton’s philosophy of viewing the maintenance of mechanical systems as a long-term business case – the concept of regular, sustainable costs, intended to avoid catastrophic repairs and optimize operations, which will reduce annual fuel costs and minimize greenhouse gas emissions.
