Annual Ocean Concrete Open House
On Saturday, April 28, Light House Sustainable Building Centre will be at Ocean Concrete's annual Open House on Granville Island:
Have you ever wanted to honk one of those horns from inside a concrete truck? Did you ever want to peek inside a truck drum? Or how about climb up into the cab of North America's largest concrete mixer truck? The Ocean Concrete Open House is your opportunity to fulfill these desires.
On Saturday April 28 from 9am to 5pm Ocean Concrete will be opening its gate to the general public for the 9th annual Open House. Look for the 175 foot concrete boom pump extended high above Granville Street Bridge.
There will be interactive displays, prizes, and tours and the unveiling of a one of a kind educational ball machine. Kids young and old will be able to climb into trucks and onto equipment to honk the horns and imagine operating these giants of industry. Learn about all the many uses of concrete and talk to experts in the concrete industry. See the history of the Granville Island location with on site vintage trucks and photographs, and see why Ocean is the industry leader in environmental accomplishments.
So join Ocean Concrete rain or shine for the fun and festivities, prizes will be drawn for kids and adults plus balloons for the kids. The whole family is invited.
