Returning for a 5th year in a row from June 29-August 14!

The Natural Building program has expanded yet again to 7 weeks of practical, hands-on training. Not only do you learn how to make your home green, you learn how to do it yourself!

Based at the Kimberley Campus of College of the Rockies, at the Natural Building School you are involved in several exciting projects while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Learn how to create buildings and living spaces that are attractive, natural, and sustainable. You can also choose to take the 5-day Straw Bale Building Workshop rather than the entire 7-week program.

The Natural Building program is just what you need in order to make improvements to your existing home or one that you plan to build. The best part is that you will have the skills to do it yourself!

The UBC/UW Summer Institute in Sustainability is designed for those taking a leadership role in developing policy, creating plans and implementing sustainability projects in large businesses, colleges, universities, and local, state and provincial governments.

This intensive professional development program provides participants with the perspectives and practical skills necessary to make sustainability the foundation of an organization’s on-going operations.

The program consists of seminars by sustainability experts and practitioners, applied case studies and guided field excursions to sustainability projects; applied workshops focusing on sustainability planning, open space sessions that allow participants to address their own issues and ideas, and opportunities for networking.
