Princess and the Pea B&B

On May 26 2008 we installed a photovoltaic system (solar panels that make electricity) at our B&B in Langley BC The B&B is a historic building now 121 years old. The system we installed has 10 panels and the electricity we make goes back to BC Hydro (they pay us for it). Every time I see our electric meter turning backwards I pinch myself in disbelief.

Building upon the principles of GB101, GB201 provides more in-depth information focused on home energy efficiency. This two-hour workshop is intended for graduates of GB101 and anyone interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home.

Help the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve to rehabilitate this popular trail after a winter of heavysnow and a summer of many footprints.  Guided by a trail assessment completed in 2007, measures will be taken to prevent further widening and erosion of the trail.  Be sure to bring a camera and catch the spectacular view of Metro Vancouver at the end of the trail.

*Please note:  Dog Mt. trail involves uneven terrain (including roots, rocky and muddy sections).  Please be prepared with sturdy footwear.
