The Climate Action Tour 2006 is crossing the country collecting input from Canadians. The workshop will  feature a briefing on climate change and Canada's greenhouse gas emissions, and then the evening will be devoted to input from citizens on the following questions:

The Vancouver Branch of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council is very pleased to announce a special event in our Speaker’s Series: Jameson House, by Foster and Partners. Please join us at noon on Friday, October 6th for a presentation on Jameson House. Proposed for a site on Hastings Street by the world renowned architecture practice of Foster and Partners’; this is their first mixed-use residential building in North America. The 37-story tower has a unique curved shape offering 131 suites and numerous floor plans. Jameson House champions sustainable design with its innovative mix of retail, office, and residential spaces. Jameson House will be a model for sustainable living with the tower’s waste and energy-conscious approach and environmental systems from energy efficient heating and cooling to the lighting controls that offer 30 – 40 per cent savings in energy.
