Guest Expert Series Ramps Up

On Saturdays through the summer, the Sustainable Building Centre has been piloting its "Guest Expert" Series. Between 2 and 4pm, every Saturday through the summer, a different green building professional has been available in our Centre on Granville Island to answer any sustainable building questions you might have.

This series has been a wonderful success, and we will be expanding the pilot to the fall, brining you more wonderful Guest Experts. So far, we have brought you many of Vancouver's most knowledgeable green architects, contractors, leaders, and product suppliers In fields ranging from green walls to cob building to FSC wood and beyond.

The fall line-up includes Guest Experts like Dr. Freda Pagani, founder of Canada’s first campus Sustainability Office and most famous for making the CK Choi building the celebrated green building it is today. Again we will bring in a wide variety of experts to provide insight and practical guidance on a variety of building types and issues, from home-owners who have built their own dream home, to experts in solar hot water.

Check our events calendar for more information or call us at 604-682-5960. The Sustainable Building Centre is located at 1575 Johnston Street. That's just East of the Public Market in the heart of Granville Island on the second floor above Roger's Chocolates.
